We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Too funny! Oops, I forgot my meds this morning...
However, on mature reflection, I would like to point out that levity directed at people suffering from the scourge of mental illness is in poor taste and probably reflects the malign influence of the Tea Party on clinical psychiatry.
The lack of civility in public discourse demonstrated in the this article and magnified by your shameless promotion of it is yet another example of the murderous effects of conservative thought in our otherwise perfect society.
Next you will, no doubt, be advocating drawing cross-hairs on the foreheads of these poor unfortunates. This sad, repressive situation once again demonstrates the chilling, sinister effect of talk radio and Fox News.
Only the gentle, restraining hand of a benign government can relieve the suffering of lottery winners and heiresses in our crypto-Christian, patriarchal society. How long will we allow the dead hand of a out-of-date and incomprehensible Constitution written by deceased, white men to compel our citizens to suffer in this manner?
Oh my. The pills are starting to kick in. LOL, that article was a knee slapper! Thanks for posting.
Gary, I just HAVE to steal your diatribe and save it someplace. next time I want to bait my uber-liberal nephew when he goes off on the tea party, Fox News, Glen Beck, and conservatives in general, I think I will start with that.
Doesn't the Bonkers Institute also do research on global warming and wind power? I'm sure I have seen papers promoting global warming and wind power produced by inmates oops, I mean researchers at the Bonkers Institute.
I am a 67 year old male and have never taken a prozac or for that matter anything stronger then an aspirin. My wife commented that all her female family and friends are on Prozac and why is it men don't ever seem to need Prozac. Without thinking I replied that breasts are mens prozac (makes us feel happy).
