We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Sadly there are many who will believe exactly what our resident mad scientist says.
Its not actually getting colder, its actually getting warmer, but the moisture that is being gathered makes your mind believe that it feels colder, but its actually warmer. That too is a symptom of global warming, its all around us yet we choose to ignore it.
Is it just me, or do other people feel Al Gore is mentally deranged? That's been my opinion since the 2000 election. He was behaving strangely even back then. But he's conned so many people into his global warming delusion.
Jim: No sir, you are not alone in thinking Al Gore is mentally deranged.

There are three large (>21") monitors on his desk, with the Television on in the background drawing power. There is no good reason for a person to have this set up in a residential situation. Two monitors are great for document development (ie one window open with Word document and the other on a website which one is referencing), but when Mr. Gore wants us to sacrifice so much, he can make the sacrifice of having only one monitor and switching between windows.
A sign of how incongruent his situation may be is his desk. That is one large mess.
I think it makes no difference to Big Al. As a former Vice-President, Al gets you and me to pay the bills for his "office" including the purchase of the fancy computer setup and the cost of the power to run it.
