We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I suppose the atheists will now crowd the nation's food courts and transportation concourses to belt out "Imagine."
Sydney Brillo Duodenum
Much to your dismay, atheists can appreciate goodwill and great singing. The idea of making others feel good is also a plus. We do have a right to believe what we want, and I don't know that you appreciate that. Also, Imagine would be a wonderful song to be sung in that same venu.
Like Sydney Brillo Duodenum, I'm surprised that someone in the crowd didn't complain to the mall police about the "flash mob's" obvious lack of multi-culturism sensitivty...
Actually, it was a wonderful performance! If I were present, my problem would have been NOT joining in (and probably ruining it, I usually sing off-key, a little flat, I'm told...)
