We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Beers range between around 3% to around 9% alcohol by volume. I prefer the lower numbers because it is pleasant to enjoy a few brews without really feeling it.
You can look up your favorite beer's alcohol content (and calories) here.
The listing ignores my favorite brewers, though. Where are Victory, Dogfish Head, and Troegs? Between those three are probably the best beers in the East.
Bought me a Grolsch Kanon ("cannon") for use in cooking last week (don't drink the stuff, don't like beer).
11.6% :)
That list leaves out all tripples and a lot of doubles, beers with triple or double the "normal" alcohol content (as well as a lot of other specialty beers no doubt).
