We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
A couple of years ago I had the pleasure of helping a surveyor friend sea trial a refurbished Morris Frances.
If I ever were to own a sailboat again, it would be a Morris Frances. Even at 26' overall (22' water line) the cabin is well thought out and roomy.
Well, I take that back. Assuming I could find one, I'd like another Halman 20 double ender. I had one once, sold it to a family up in Maine after doing a little work on it and sailing it for a summer in Narragansett Bay. I'm sorry I did - that was one heck of a boat. On the other hand, the boat is still sailing along the coast with the same family so that's a plus.
