We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Kipling is my favorite and this poem is one that I especially like, I used to read it out loud, which is the way Kipling should always be read, when I was going through a divorce from my first wife.
Never was going to marry again and then I met a wonderful widow woman who like men who are men and does not mind an occasional cigar, as a matter of fact she thinks they make a man smell just about like a man should smell from time to time now, ain't that mighty weird in our post-modern world.
