We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
The senator looks a little flushed in the illo --reminds how he is always circling around so many things he no doubt wishes would hurry up and go down the drain. Just for startyers, look at the boat motif --swift boat vets who 50 to 1 ndenounced his presidential mettle, two million boat people who fled from the enemy which now lionizes him with gratitude for his help in their victory, 165,000 to 200,000 of whom were lost at sea and whose existence Kerry now denies (see links below), 10,000 of whom settled as boat fishermen in the USA gulf coast and now out of work due to shadowy shenanigans emanating from the outfit which co-wrote (meaning 'wrote') Kerry's American Power Act ('cap and trade'), shenanigans which literally flared into view on a boat (the floating rig) on April 20, and now this latest, where Mr. Confiscatory Taxes on Everybody Not Living Off Interest getting exposed via a boat for being exactly whom he has built his career attacking.
My representative Dr. Steve Kagen (D WI 08) got busted by the DEA. A lot of my fellow observers commentators ridiculed Kagen and called him a quack and the like, but I instead took a different position. Yeah for Dr. Kagen, he provided a product to people and apparently it worked as he managed to sell enough of it for him to buy his seat in DC. I suggested Kagen not the lesson and rap the FDA for its over-zealous enforcement of said regulations. Alas, Democrats sleep with capitalism at night and beat it during the day.
If John Kerry so loaded down wants to avoid paying taxes why can he and his ilk understand the burdens their onerous taxes place on the rest of us with much less means? John Kerry was right in doing what he did. Alas, he like Kagen are taking the wrong lessons from the sitaution.
