We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
The Klezmer Conservatory Band of Boston did a send-up of one of their own songs on Prairie Home Companion in the 1980's. I believe it was "In Ades" (In Odessa), which they did in baseball tribute with local fan references to Fenway and Jim Rice.
"Oh-h-h Give it to him let him see the fast ball! Give it to him let him see the fastball."
I guess you had to be there.

This is all very nice, and I love dancing to it at weddings - but Israeli pop music is melding this, and North African Jewish traditions, and general pop/jazz trends, into some very fine and interesting music.
Thankfully we don't have much acid rock or punk - as one young singer I caught being interviewed lamented, Hebrew doesn't have enough cuss words.
We do have rap - including biblical verses. Would Jeremiah be a rapper today?
Go to Youtube and start out with these mainstream names:
Yehudit Ravitz

Gidi Gov (mostly cheerful music)
