Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Pig hunt

Gwynnie is going boar hunting in California again, this time with friend Chester, for whom it is a first time.  We�re after Sus scrofa, the descendants of European boars imported for a �game farm�.



We�ll actually use rifles in the .270-.308 range, but we told Chester that there were archers too, and he�s really excited.

Savage 99EG in .300 Savage. 150 grains. Oh yeah, pick out your tree and make sure you can climb it in case you miss and just make him mad...

Do y'all suppose it is truly possible to draw a bow with such.... ummmm.... errr.... magazines... err.... quiver...

I mean, like, yaknow, wouldn't they interfere with optimal draw length and consistent kisser placement and suchlike. Your peep sight might be OK but what about the shelf and nocking points? How would that work?

I just don't see how the effect of those things on the reflex riser and tiller would be conducive to controlled shot placement.

Work on refining design elements as you go. I thing fitting is the place to start - precise measurement is key.
