Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Tea Party Barbie

We do not want to dwell on the Tea Party subject, but this is cute (h/t, NRO).


Note the cheerful and friendly demeanor, the unabashed patriotism, the good grooming, and the absence of a Che t-shirt: she is the New Wholesome Cool - and the Vanguard of the Revolution!


She needs a bio, though. I can easily come up with one, but I won't.

When Mattel came up with Barbie's "biography", they wanted her to be the All American Girl, so they had her come from Willows, Wisconsin. So when you mess with Tea Party Barbie, you are messing with an angry female Badger, protecting her young, and thier futures.

She grew up relatively apolotical, the daughter of first in the family college grad (father) and attendee (mother dropped out to get married).

Majored in English. Nobody talked about politics on campus - they were too busy drinking. She paid for her own education through loans, scholarships and working part time during the school year and 60 hours/wk in the summer.

Got a modestly decent job upon graduation and was shocked into political awareness by the taxes withheld from her first paycheck. She had divided the $X thousand/year promised by her employer by 26 pay periods a year and had expected $X/26.

She got $(X/26) * .7.

Oh no this is not right.

She was supposed to pay for people who didn't work?

Oh no she won't.

I ran across your site by mistake, but got a kick out of the content! I'm a Tea Partier who runs a site called www.MOMforAmerica.com to educate on how our country was founded. I like class factotum's bio! That pretty much explains my own bio except that my father/mother didn't go to college, I ran away from home at an early age, worked my buns off and wound up with 4 degrees and two businesses of my own! I, likewise, am sick of paying for people who don't work or even ATTEMPT to achieve or do for themselves.
