We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Where I work, I call it "the Mark I Palm Pilot" and it's the only kind of PDA that is allowed in the area. Then again, if I write anything classified on my hand, do I have to cut it off, and file it in a safe?
This was written on his yuppie palm by a Noo Yawker.
The true redneck requires no reminder to get beer. Rod Stewart had it:
"I didn't know what day it was when you walked into the room
I said hello unnoticed, you said goodbye too soon
Breezin' through the clientele, spinnin' yarns that were so lyrical
I really must confess right here that the attraction was purely physical
You're in my heart, you're in my soul
You'll be my breath should I grow old
You are my lover, you're my best friend
You're in my soul
My love for you is immeasurable, my respect for you immense
You're ageless, timeless, lace and fineness, you're beauty and elegance
You're a rhapsody, a comedy, you're a symphony and a play
You're every love song ever written, but honey what do you see in me
You're an essay in glamour, please pardon the grammar, but you're every schoolboy's dream
You're Celtic United, but baby I've decided you're the best team I've ever seen
And there have been many affairs, many times I felt to leave
But I bite my lip and turn around, 'cause you're the warmest thing I ever found."
You didn't think he was singing about some woman did you?
