Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Let me get this straight...

The Democrats still want to pass their health care plan, written by a committee whose Chairman says he doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it but exempts themselves from it, signed by a cigarette smoking president who also hasn't read it, with funding administered by a Treasury chief who cheated on his taxes; overseen by an obese Surgeon General, and financed by unwilling taxpayers whose country is almost completely broke.

What could possibly go wrong?

I learned, very early-on, that with sex, when it's good, its really, really good; and when it's (allegedly) bad - it still not bad...
