Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Senate majority leader, Harry Reid, Democrat of Nevada, deflected questions about health care. “We’re not on health care now,” he said. “We’ve talked a lot about it in the past.” He added, “There is no rush,” and noted that Congress still had most of this year to work on the health bills passed in 2009 by the Senate and the House.

The O'Keefe arrest is obviously politically-motivated entrapment. He embarassed Obama and now Obama's justice department is going to shut him up. Expect more of this in the next few months -- I bet Scott Brown now has full-time FBI surveillance and phone taps.

Obama isn't an American by temperament. He thinks like a Third World kleptocrat. The laws arent't to ensure a fair society -- they're weapons to be used against his personal enemies.
