We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Dollars trump facts in the Climate Hustle. Where are the MSM investigative journalists on the IPCC scam? There's a Pulitzer waiting for somebody...naw, probably not. Wrong narrative for the Pulitzer committee.
Here’s the latest development, courtesy of Dr Richard North – and it’s a cracker. It seems that, not content with having lied to us about shrinking glaciers, increasing hurricanes, and rising sea levels, the IPCC’s latest assessment report also told us a complete load of porkies about the danger posed by climate change to the Amazon rainforest.
How many fear-mongering, grant-seeking, $-seeking lies are in the IPCC report?
The now-climate-zillionaire, hot CO2 emitter, and Climate Hustler-in-Chief Al Gore with Ball of Fire:
Retread ... Fat Albert has not only founded and funded carbon offset corporations [he buys offsets from his own firms and then brags about his compliance] he has a number of secondary climate change/engineering firms in which he has a large interest. And Senator Boxer, among other of our politicians, has invested in at least one of Al's firms. They're all tangled up, like a mess of snakes, these politicians, and it would take months -- years that I haven't got to untangle all this.
Re Al Gore and his investments: he might be profiteering from a fraud that he knows as such (my first guess) or he may be a true believer with his treasure where his heart is.
Re CO2: I got Mauna Loa CO2 changes from a NOAA website and I got human CO2 production estimates. I compared them with an Excel scatter diagram. If human production of CO2 drove atmospheric levels of CO2, then the two should correlate pretty well. But they don't. The Mauna Loa trend is always up but by amounts that rise and fall. The CO2 production curve is always up by increasing amounts. They correlate at around .39 R-squared, which is to say, not much. Apparently human production of CO2 is not driving the changes in atmospheric CO2 and atmospheric CO2 isn't driving the temperature anyway.
But we all knew that.
