We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Keep in mind if the election ends up being anywhere near close democrats have become masters of the never-ending election, where they keep generating votes until they have a razor thin majority and then declare themselves the victors. If it takes months, they will do it, but there are very few things they are less interested in than fair elections. Democrats are to democracy what fire is to ice.
Two comments on Kerry's remarks:
1. Yes, the Brown rallies are a lot like the Palin rallies -- full of energy, goodwill, and anger at people like Kerry. Never heard of a scary Palin rally nor a scary Brown rally.
2. I'm imagining what DC would be like if a lot of Palins, Browns, Rehbergs and Goldwater-wannabes got elected. And it feels very, very gooood, like a hot bath after shoveling snow...
