We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
The term "conspicuous consumption" comes to mind. Also, gotta wonder about a few of his deals and what "friends" may be remembering about him if he needs that kind of security. Gigayacht, yes indeed, good word.
You could land an amphib beside it and tow, I guess. Otherwise you'd need a bit more open area and arresting gear. Makes for a lumpy landing. Even Capt Sullenberger would have a bumpy time with that.
As Geoff says, 'conspicuous consumption' pretty well sums it up. To a lover of classic sailing craft, it is an offense to the eye -- sort of like the pushmepullyu in Dr. Doolittle. No guts, no glory -- just overwhelming ostentation.
