So, where's the "after" picture? I think I read somewhere this morning that Yankeetown was supposed to get clobbered today.

And that's not to say that we down here in the Keys aren't suffering along with you. It's presently a bone-numbing 64 out, and, even worse, it's supposed to stay that cold all day long. It just goes to show that we Floridians have that same 'inner fortitude' that you Yankees do when faced with the severest of weather.

BTW, I took your advice and have now stormed through the first eight episodes of NCIS, year one. Good stuff! Just like 'House MD', they do a great job of dragging the audience along on false leads, eventually solving the case with 32 seconds left on the clock. And, like 'House', the banter is quite witty, yet it doesn't have that "clever script-written" feel to it.

As far as Abby goes, this has to be the fakest Goth impersonation in the history of the Central Galaxy. It's like the costume designers based her look on an article in Life Magazine. But, to their credit, the writers don't make her out to be a simp. Her role on the team is every bit as strong as anyone else's. In the eight episodes I've seen, I think she was the one responsible for nailing the answer in at least two of them.

And picking Mark Harmon to play Gibbs was simply brilliant. He has that "commanding presence" routine down pat. Again, I'm speaking of season one, so things might have changed by now, but what I really like about Gibbs is how many times he doesn't answer a question from one of his team. Just keeps on walking. It's a fun "actor's trademark".

I also like DiNozzo, Todd and Ducky. I think a few people made some disparaging comments about DiNozzo in your original post, but I'd keep him over Todd and Ducky. Outside of Ducky's general bizarreness, Tony's the only one who adds any levity to the show.

DiNozzo: Sarsaparilla? Who drinks sarsaparilla?
Gibbs: Shane.
DiNozzo: Who's Shane?
Todd: Alan Ladd.
DiNozzo: Who's Alan Ladd?
