We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

...and every new employee with the diamond encrusted fifty year pension....feh ...we're cooked. Tahiti, anyone?
I'll go with you Buddy. We can go 50/50 on expenses. Maybe we can grab some of Tiger's left overs to join us.
great --yes maybe they'll join us --we'll need joining --since we're definitely falling to pieces --

What an appalling list the Busybody Brigade has compiled. Reaching their slimy fingers into every aspect of our lives. A slow trainwreck indeed.
Obviously there are a lot of organizations that see a golden opportunity to loot the treasury. The details are mind numbing, but it is appalling in its scope.
Once a government agency is created it never goes away, it just gets bigger. The cost will just grow as time goes on.
Well, they did say they were going to "create or save" a whole bunch of jobs...
They just kind of neglected to mention that they would all be Gubmint jobs - and therefore funded by the taxpayers (that would be, of course, all of us workin' stiffs that are not semi-permanently laid off or "downsized") - producing only paperwork and further "redistribution of wealth."
Your Gubmint at work with its snout ever-deeper in the trough...
When Obama was running for president a little talked about part of his past was the Arnenberg challenge where he got to spend $150,000,000 in grant money (our taxes). I never saw any metrics shown as to the advancement of student proficiency, but the list of those who received money from the program read just like this monstrosity, (with names only a hopeless government-monger could love) where there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it except for the purpose of having a huge slush fund to line the pockets of those with clout at the expense of those without.
