We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I know him only by accident having passed him once on a fishing trip with a couple of former clients. We stopped and asked if he needed help figuring that he must have been lost or something similar. :>)
Personally, I don't see the attraction of catching big fish from a kayak, but that's me.
What should prove interesting is if he does catch a real monster at the right time of year or if the Gulf Stream moves inshore - that area he fishes is known for some really monster makos, blue and tiger sharks. Back in 2005, a 1,200 pound Tiger was caught right in that general area. I caught and released a Mako in 2006 that figured out to 550 (+/- 75) in that area.
Not for me - I like the safety of some thick fiberglass between me and them. :>)
