We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
One of the more notable pieces of trivia about the Beatles last concert tour was a Boston University garage band The Remains, formerly Barry and The Remains, which were dubbed America's Lost Band. The Remains were the Beatles opening act for that tour and strangely were thought of as a better musical act than the Beatles. :>)
For some reason, they never caught on. There's a documentary about them called, appropriately, "American's Lost Band".
A sample of their music.
PS: Mrs. Francis's room mate at BU dated Barry and got to go to the Beatles concert while I was otherwise engaged in SEA. :>)
