Maggie's FarmWe are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for. |

Islam is to be understood as organized crime.
It is whatever the most ruthless thug says it is, because the most ruthless thug is the enforcer. Re: the hot totty
I have been a faithful salacious low-life reader of Maggie's for a good bit now. Recently (apparently) I've become something of a holy roller and so I'm trying not to be a salacious low-life reader. Damn. There goes all my fun. Sorry if I end up saying religious things too often or what not. Will faithfully continue to read MF, just not as a salacious low-life reader. Damn. Yes, they really should let us know where Theo finds these, so that we can better avoid the temptation....
Abortions are undesired (in this case) medical conditions, is how there get into insurance.
Indeed it's probably an actual insurable risk. Unlike say flood and earthquake insurance, which wipe out your entire customer base at once. It's not even that complex. It's cheaper to provide an abortion than the costs of pregnancy and new child, new person on family policy.
` Jep,
We accept your 'repentence'...even a "holy roller" enjoys a 'totty'...once in a while... I'll fall 'on-the-sword' for both of us...thanks Uncle Theo... Jeppy...roll along!! Cheers. Justifications for murder as for other evil acts only float for folks with no conscience.
That's the cold, but accurate assessment.
Once the sanctity of life is removed from the equation and cost and convenience step to the forefront, all kinds of chilling things can happen along the slippery slope. Now, how about those death panels for the old and in the way, the too sick for too long, the no longer productive........ advice, brought once again to the fore by the dreadful slaughter at Fort Hood. Political Correctness and Multiculturalism are socialist 'cons' with which the radical left has been cow-ing the sensible general public out of exercising their common sense and good judgment. So ... give up trying to operate under either flawed premise. Say 'NO.'
All cultures are not equally valuable. Some cultures are good -- highly evolved, compassionate, and well-functioning. Others are so-so ... not entirely bad, but with a number of flaws that should be corrected. And some are actively uncivilized and evil. It's up to us as grown-ups to decide which is which. As for political correctness, it is intellectual laziness. We're put on this earth to learn something -- some profound somethings which will help us depart this earth smarter and better people than we were when we got here. Passing thoughtful judgments on moral and ethical questions is an integral part of that learning experience. It's tough to do, I'll grant you, but it's essential to our personal growth of wisdom. Knowing good from evil, and living by your judgments may not make you popular. But it will make you better than when you arrived, even though you were a pretty cute baby. Good luck with that. I'm still working on it. I'll never have a Muslim doctor -- they don't like infidels and they don't like women. I'm both, in their eyes. Wouldn't it be stupid of me to put my precious life in their hands? I think we should not accept Muslims into our Armed Forces. The Band of Brothers needs to trust each other absolutely. How can you trust someone who views you as an infidel who should be disposed of any time you want to do it? Because our Armed Forces fell under the spell of "diversity politics" we exposed our warriors, who volunteered for military service to defend and protect us, to the hatred and revenge of Hasan the Muslim madman. Our fault -- because we were in thrall to Political Correctness and Multiculturalism. So, my advice is to give up on PC and Multiculturalism. You'll be a lot more clear-eyed, and you'll know who your enemies are. Marianne Good stuff, Marianne. I had to pause over PC being intellectual laziness, but then I figured it out. For those who are PC, it is intellectual laziness: For those of us who are not, it is a pain in the arse. It's hard not to be honest. It's hard not to speak plainly and give your thoughts the clarity we are allowed but for PC. It takes more intellectual rambling to come up with newspeak than it would if we didn't have to worry about offending anyone.
Good mind kick there. :) ` A report from an acquaintance with a home in Venezuela:
" . . . . While [Chavez] is rattling his saber, he cannot keep the government-owned utilities on, so EVERYONE, from the poorest to the wealthiest is being effected & is getting mad. When you don't have lights, you cannot even watch TV. Now, the wealthy have generators, but the others don't, so guess who is the maddest. In Caracas, many don't even have water for several hours daily. "Not only is this an inconvenience, this power problem is damaging appliances throughout the country. It has ruined 1 of our TV's & now the washing machine. The technician told me that this is everywhere. Our maid's TV is out. Saturday she had to stand in line for over 6 hrs. to get her subsidized rationed groveries; today she told me she was really mad!! So, Mr. Big is managing to piss off everyone here. He'd better watch it. The enemy is within, not without!" Abortion coverage under insurance isn't surprising. Most women/couples who get abortions don't actually expect to get in a situation where they need one. The polls say most pro-choice people are just that - they want the option but don't want to be in a position to use it (Bill Clinton's "safe, legal, and rare"). I don't know what the cost of the procedure is but it would make sense for many women to pay $1/month on the off chance their birth control fails and they need $1,000 for an abortion.
Garry, I appreciate your sacrifice...falling on your sword and all. I love totty, but I'm trying a different tact. Keep up the good work!
Roly Holler...haha! I'd send you to an awesome site, I mean seriously good shit, but pangs of conscience and all. Good luck! |
