We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
--i really admire David Horowitz. You can tell he's tired and maybe a little depressed --the enormity of the burden he's taken on --the trying to make a few people every day open their eyes, day in and day out, against the relentless dismal tide of sisyphean forces in the fin de siecle weltanschauung.
He's no fair-weather friend nor sunshine patriot --he's the real thing.
Dittos, Buddy. He is a fabulous writer and a wonderful spokesman for all patriotic Americans. He tells it like it is, be it politics or his personal life.
I discovered David in his first book, "Destructive Generation: Second Thoughts About The Sixties", co-authored by Peter Collier. DH's Radical Son is another fabulous read and education about American political history, beginning with David's "red diaper" upbringing in New York.
David is a pillar of the right, but most of all he is a mortal enemy of the left, which is what I like best about him. The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Obama and the Democrat Congress are what he has been warning us about for years, and now they are in power, the enemy is within.
