Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Access problems

If you have had trouble accessing Maggie's, it is because we are blocking virus-laden machines which are attempting to assault us at a rate of 10,000 every two minutes. 


We are slowly trying to open the door without being overwhelmed by these viral attacks.

I think our webmeister knows how to do that. We are subject to such annoying hassles periodically, but we don't take it personally.

BD - Just means you've hit the big time. I had a small attack awhile back against my VPN firewall/router and I just laughed. This is my home network and makes me extremely small potatoes compared to a big-time blog like Maggie's. Fortunately it all went away. A release/renew with a different IP cleared it up. I still get the background probe noise but its more academic than interesting or even annoying. Just a waste of bandwidth. So again, welcome to the big time! You too can become a target.

No trouble getting here, I'm very glad to say.

Speaking of taking flak, it's the 65th anniversary of D-Day tomorrow - June 6th. Men and women to remember and thank.
