Messy birds, the Canada goose. Count me among those who have never tried one.... the city constabulary frowns on hunting geese on the city hall lawn and I've had no recent opportunity to seek one elsewhere.

The security team at old Sprint labs building on Metcalf in Overland Park Kansas had an interesting way to deal with those sh*t pots on legs... They used remote control toy trucks (the ones that would run on the grass) and toy boats to chase the geese in the fire pond in front of the building. It was funny to watch them chase a group around the pond (big sucker, must have been an acre+), or chase them off the sidewalks. The effort was only partially successful, the still had to wash green glop off the sidewalks almost daily. And for sure you didn't want to step OFF the sidewalk. Those who had no experience with the barnyard shuffle quickly learned new moves. Heh.

Well, thanks for the tip. I'll check with my 88yo dad and see if he wants to exercise his shotgun this fall up in Illinois. We'll do our part to reduce the population of flying fertilizer generators.
