We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I just finished reading Pistol: The Life of Pete Maravich. He has an awesome born again story. If any of the guys in your Bible study like sports, itís a good biography of a miserable superstar athlete who found his ultimate freedom and happiness in Christ at the end of his short lifeóand was able to pass it on to his father.
I can remember as a teenager going to see Pistol play at the Boston Gaden. Me and my friends bought obstructed view seats. At half time we went right outside the locker rooms to see the players enter the court. On the court he looked real small, but up close he was a big guy. His shoulders, and his thighs were huge. A truly gifted athlete.
I know Garden is spelled with an r, but being from Boston we don't use, or pronounce R's
