We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
Mad about it. Mini DSLR with a fabulous Leica lens which is electronically stabilized and goes from (35mm equiv.) 27mm wide to 486mm telephoto (826.2mm with 1.7x add-on lens). The wide angle and telephoto shots of San Simeon illustrate the power of this lens (the box in the wide-angle outlines the telephoto). At 27mm, it is also f2.8 – very fast for a point-and-shoot. The other photos are of a walnut & wine operation in Paso Robles CA.
This camera will not replace our Canon EOS XTi, but that beauty and its lenses weigh 27 pounds, and are a bit difficult hiking or traveling! Oh, and Abe’s of Maine which we love offers it for $287.95!!!
Now there's typical furr-head logic. Except for the period from 1995 to 1996, the California Assembly has been in Democratic hands since 1970 and the Senate has been in Democratic hands continuously since 1970. Three decades. Doofus thinks that an ineffective actor/governor has caused it to fail? I guess spelling California with a "K" is all the logic needed.
Nice pix. I like the yellow flowered one best, especially the composition. We've looked at that camera at Costco. My sister got it, and loves it. I am probably going to get the Nikon P90 tho, which has a slightly further reach (as I go for birds) and slightly bigger LCD that tilts (good for holding above heads at parades, etc.). I so agree about the weight of the DSLRs. Haven't weighed my D300 and lenses, but hefty.
