Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Tea Partay

Our readers know there is a nationwide movement, a la the Boston Tea Party, to demonstrate opposition to the multi trillion dollar deficit plans of Obama/Pelosi/Reid. Please remember to join in by mailing the President a tea bag on April 1st.

As I understand it, tea BAGS will not pass post office inspection and will be discarded as possible hazardous material.
Tea bag LABELS are acceptable and will pass inspection

Not sure about that....I'd give them no excuse to discard the letter, and avoid any chance of that by just using the tea bag tag. I can see them saying that the residual powder in the teabag might present a hazard

We need to have a Facebook sharing icon below each article. I love FARK, but Facebook is where I get more responses.

(I have LOTS of liberal friends who can't stand the posts I put up. Probably because they don't like thinking too much. Since they believe they are always and everywhere right, it must hurt their brains to actually apply logic to their convictions.)
