We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Goose killing with a fully loaded passenger jet is a violation of FAA regulations. Actually I'm not 100% sure on that but 0bama and the Commies can simply do an ex post facto on the guy and he'll be breaking rocks on Rickers Island, ah Rickers Gulag.

But why fight it? I mean the guy purposefully pushed the throttles forward , reached V1, then VR, rotated and took off with total disregard of the gathering aviary population.

Shame,shame...but in the ensuing chaos 0bama slipped another 100 billion to ACORN so it's all good.

It's illegal to take home and eat roadkill in my state. I wonder if there is anything on the books about airkill?

Roadkill is preferable. Those GE/Snecma CFM56-5B4/P engines are fabulous food processors, but that leave a lot of feathers in the mix, which have to be picked out with tweezers, and discharge their product over several square miles.

Stick with the occasiuonal grab of venison (or armadillo)

majority flight deck crew are very intelligent and very conservative, if not...no chit-chat other than business .
