Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Beneteau Sailboats


As the angle of Mr. Sun begins to increase in the New England skies, we generally post a few boats that catch our eyes. Usually classic old boats, but this 2003 Beneteau 36 for sale seemed appealing.


They term this Farr design a racer-cruiser, but she looks like a racer to me. In this sort of economy, nice boats become more affordable. Asking 124,000.

Make sure that Beneteau 36 has the deep keel.

Florida seems to have some great prices on those used Beneteaus.

Sailing is one of the things I enjoy most.

Unfortunately, the current mess is an obstacle between me and my ultimate toy.

Here is hoping that better times return soon. (All we need is Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Dodd, Schumer, Murtha and few more Democrats to bump their heads together, fall into a coma and hope that a few common sense types can step into the fray.)
