Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

The 75th Annual Maggie's Farm Blog Awards, #1

We will post the daily winners as the votes from our staff, contributors, friends and family come in for each category and as the erroneous and uncountable votes are eliminated by our Editor in Chief. Here's the first:

I just designed and coded a web site for a Pentecostal church and many of the congregants are Nigerian. Wonderful people, really. I did almost all of the photography and I felt as though I was home with everyone while visiting the church. I was helping a friend who's a first year doctoral student at Harvard with a project she was doing and it involved the church. All told it was a lovely experience.

When we go public I'll drop the address here and people can look at our work.

It's not a blog, but I could use some money.

Scratch that... All of the photography is mine right now. I have photos of the pastor and his wife that I have to put on the site tomorrow or the next day that were shot by someone else. It will be evident that the photos were taken by someone else.

Will email info for the prize. Need money bad....

My mistake. I guess everything conservative and worthwhile merely feels 131 years old.

I "lucked" upon y'all looking for gardening advice or a recipe, can't remember now. You are, kinda, a THWAK IN THE SIDE OF THE HEAD. Somedays a total joy...others, thought provoking. That's a good place to be. Best fir 2009.
