Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Yoan Capote

I am a fan of the young Cuban sculptor Yoan Capote, and have begun collecting some of his work. Here's Lote (Retrato de la masa), 2008:

good choice the ladder is the one my hubby liked too. that is the "thing" with modern art you do not have to be very good at it you just have to feel something , anything and then it has done its job. he really is very good.

Say what you will, but it must take real vision and talent to look at a rough-hewn piece of stone and visualize its' inner ear.

Q: Do the other side of the pieces have present the left ear?
