Red Tail

Just watched a Red Tail grab a squirrel from my bird feeder. Squirrel was, understandably,�not happy about it at all.

They usually miss them.�This guy came out of nowhere, fast, like an Israeli jet. Nature red in tooth (?)�and claw.

Those squirrels are over-fed and full of juicy�fat. Happy dining, pal.

Now I wish the Sharpies would pick off the rest of my pesky�English Sparrows.

Until I watched a hawk take a squirrel I had no idea that squirrels could screech that loud.

We've got red tails out here in Idaho, lots of 'em. Always sitting on telephone poles, waiting.....

I wish our local Red Tail would get our squirrels. It did eradicate all the young rabbits invading the neighborhood late last summer.

I am also in Idaho. I have seen a Red tail hit an overfed quail behind my house. It looked like a pillow fight.
