Oh jeez, here we go again. "Those who do not remember the lessons of history" etc. etc. As a matter of fact, if the Democratic folks are suffering from SASS [short attention span syndrome] all they have to do is look across our northern border and see what a mess Canada's universal health care is turning out to be, and then take a gander at Great Britain, where it's even more of a mess.

What it's going to result in is a two-tier health plan for those of us who are prudent and responsible people: first, we all pay in to "universal" health care, so that the imprudent and irresponsible will get free [if not very good] health care. Then we grown-ups will have to buy responsible, effective care privately. That's the way it's working in Great Britain, where the "universal" part means that if you have an emergency, like a heart attack, maybe they can fit you in for a doctor visit a month or two from now.

This is one more way the Democrats are poised to take over more and more of our private lives and freedoms. The Democratic political class doesn't really care because they already have a first class health plan as long as they serve in Congress. Freedom for the rest of us is becoming more and more expensive, thanks to the naive idiots who elected Obama.
