Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Friday smoke time

A hearty wave of the fat Capitalist cigar, as Mr. Free Market would say, to our friend Tigerhawk, who is annoyed enough with Obama's insulting him to use the f-bomb on his family-oriented site.

I suspect that he is already into the brandy.

I'll be waving the Communist cigars, thank you very much. Wife returned from the West Indies today with some Cuban treats for me. I anticipate enjoying the hell out of one on Election Night!

Oh come on guys, Remember Elian being plucked away and sent back to Cuba. I haven't smoked a Cuban since then. Of course I live in Tampa Florida(USA cigar capital) and haven't really suffered. Pick up a Padron or a Padron Anniversaro 1964, great stuff. Frankly if either guy gets in cigar taxes will be going up, probably more under Obama. He tax it then tell you to put it out.
Also for frugal Yankees, perhaps a Punch After dinner.
