I do believe blogging has caused a good deal of angst on the left for a number of reasons. I think one is sufficient to make my point. Free intercourse and the concomitant ease of understanding. Say what dude?
People from all phiosophies can participate in the hot topics of the day. Good writers can simplify things for busier "lurkers". Let's take a look at Marxist thought.

Marxist "ideology" has been used by everyone from hot dog vendors to union thugs and thuggettes. However the average person has no concept of what it entales. So a well informed writer/contributor explains it. Now don't get me wrong, there are more than enough egos out there who want nothing more than to show off, so they don't communicate, they obfuscate by "words by the ton"...kinda like "Rooms to Go"...they would prefer a small audience who might understand what they are saying, but is that communication? No.
So the left hates it when someone says Marx's wants to take your money and give it to someone else, even if that other person doesn't deserve it or has done nothing to earn it. Now Joe Six Pack knows enough about Marxist thought.
Too simple says the left. Well says the right Marx himself couldn't explain his own disjointed philosophy, that's been the beauty for the left..they get to make up stuff.
But the basic is taking from those who have the ability to produce something and giving it to someone either incapable or unwilling to do the same. So Joe knows the core reasoning now of Marxist thought.

The blogs have allowed such a free flow of energy and knowledge plus the ability to organize that the left hates it.
They've come to find out that their lies are more easily exposed in everyday language and explainations vividly brought to life by a beautifully crafted metaphor.
Now the busy person has some general grasp of Marxist philosophy and can go about there day better informed.

We are at the end of Black History Month. So many wonderful days have gone by in celebration. I would like to cap off the month with my final tribute to a man who has done much for the african-American community.
That person is William Labov. His study of African American Vernacular English or AAVE, more commonly known as ebonics has allowed each of us over the past twenty LONG years to get the most out of Rap music and the beyond-Huxtables to the Fresh Prince of Bel Air programming. Otherwise many of us would be lost. Non-intercoursers.
