Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Hillary's College Thesis: Has she changed since then?

Via Hot Air. My views have changed since college, but I'm not so certain about hers. (Grammar Help Desk: Does that "hers" take an apostrophe somewhere, or not?)

If she can say things like this, one must wonder. More worrisome, I think, is that she can say things like that and not be crucified by the press and the voters.

I think yes on the apostrophe--needed there to indicate possession.

Wrong. I checked. "Hers" is a singular or plural possessive, no apostrophe.

Oops--I guess its like "its vs it's" -- "it's" is always the "it is" contraction, and to indicate possession you have to reverse the apostrophe rule-of-thumb. I wonder, just who is responsible for this punctuation mess? They should be brought up on charge's.

to, too, two. Easy. Process of elimination: If "to" and "two" don't make sense in context, it's "too". Not too hard. :)

The two of us went to the movie, too, but it was too boring so the two of us left to go to check out the other two shows.

Thanks as well BD, but I've had my multi-vitamin for today and there's lot's of calcium in it. And do you know how long ago 4th grade was...Yikes!
