We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
There is plenty of evidence that beer was responsible for the rise of civilizations. Early humans had to transition from being hunter gatherers to farmers to grow grain for their brew. Hence the rise of villages and the social structure to to work together and to prevent theft. There is evidence that beer was being made 12,000 years ago in what is now Israel. An ancient thirst for beer may have inspired agriculture, Stanford archaeologists say. Cheers!
It was not beer but instead food. Food or more correctly the ability to grow sufficient food to allow a community to stay in place and put energy into raising and teaching children created civilization.
The fact that the narrator believes that the world's population might reach 15 billion people when almost every country outside Africa has below replacement birth rates immediately discredits the entire video.
You miss the point. The world population WILL soon exceed 15 billion. But 90% of that growth will be "minorities". However having said that it is likely that the minority community we are talking about can not sustain themselves and at some point there will not be enough productive people to carry them and the world will devolve into war and genocide.
