We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
That evil, if true, quote comes from a Quilette post on The Narrative and Its Discontents. Who constructs our realities? Scott Adams likes to talk about how we are all hypnotized, and there is some truth in that. The awareness of that might be the way out of it.

He's right. We all go through life with a number of illusions. Some of them are forced upon us; and some of them we create just so we can be happy. But personally, I don't think that reality is constructed. In my opinion, reality is what's left after you get rid of all the fluff. I read a really great book on psychology which said that reality is actually "the physical act of coping with the challenges of life".
Here are the main challenges listed in the book, in no particular order:
1. Doing a good job at work.
2. Attending Church, in a way that you and your family enjoys.
3. Staying thin, in a country where everybody gets fat.
4. Finding ways to enjoy life, without spending a lot of money.
5. Expressing one's feelings with a good range of emotion.
6. Not getting bent out of shape when something goes wrong.
7. Using friendly negotiation to solve disagreements.
The author of this book "How to Use Mental Health Resources." was considered an enemy of the state, because he was a lay minister, and also a lay psychologist. His name was Kenneth Haugk, and he was a Pastor with Stephen Ministries, which has been viscously attacked by the American government for daring to say that Christian conduct is based on sound psychological principles. And also, that going to Church is more important than going to a therapist. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZ-IRA4LR7U
The feminist political military industry, which seems to have swallowed America doesn't want people to identify the categories of happiness, or reality. They want to force the entire country to cooperate with a feminist military utopia.
And they've done that by destroying manhood; both within the military and without. Cleaning up this mess, and creating a new and pleasant reality for Americans will mean that some of those brave Marines will have to finally step up to the plate. If they dare.
