We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I keep seeing that phrase "marginalized people." It can be applied to hillbillies, felons, Moslems, black Americans, trannies, crippled or blind people, the mentally-ill, or whomever you want.
Turning the adjective "marginal" into a verb craftily turns a group of people into victims of an active, malevolent force to push people to the margins of life. Many people are marginal to society because they will not, do not wish to, or can not, adjust to or fit into ordinary bourgeois society. That may be deeply to be regretted that they can not or do not, but it is not being done to them by any malevolent forces. I am not a malevolent force, but I do not invite felons or trannies to our dinner parties. They would not fit in.
Felons and trannies rarely invite me either so perhaps they marginalize me.
If you want to see active efforts to "marginalize", just check out today's link about the MSM on the GOP. There you can see an example of institutional marginalization, powers engaged in active, conscious efforts to marginalize a vast group of Americans. This attempted marginalization and organized intolerance of differences will continue until November.
Oooops... If you go to the actual "expedition" page, you'll find that they report they're underway, and have been since 7/17 iirc. Not a word about too much ice.

It is not a good idea to depend on anyone to tell you the truth on the WWW.
I have a question for you that is off topic, but it is sincere. When or how can information gathered during the discovery process of one trial, be used to develop another distinct separate claim/case/trial?
The USNews article on the light attendance to the protests is interesting.
They complain it is either the heavy police (few arrests) presence or the Ohio open-carry law.
The Cleveland Police Department tweeted at 4:30 p.m. ET [Monday] there had been no arrests in Public Square.
Hermes says the guild, which has many volunteers actively monitoring protests and a hotline for arrestees, is aware of just one afternoon arrest -- of a person who allegedly threw a punch during the fracas involving Jones at the square.
But he says even if police aren’t arresting people, their presence can be objectionable.
“If you are in downtown Cleveland you can literally throw a rock and hit a police [officer]. It’s very intimidating,” he says. “It certainly is chilling for First Amendment rights.”
So not being able to throw rocks, tennis balls, aluminum, is chilling to free speech? right to assembly? freedom of religion? freedom of press?
I think after all the BLM related attacks on police, as well as the physical attacks on Trump supporters at rallies, the Democrats are telling their surrogates to cool it. All that is happening is that more and more people are flocking to Trump because of violence and disruption spread by groups allied with the left and Democrats.
It's too late for the Democrats. They are toast. Americans have finally had it up to here.
