Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Marine le Pen in France and Nigel Farage in the UK are two great and patriotic voices bravely and valiantly resisting the existential excesses of state on behalf of the people. It is a travesty to have to watch the multi-country, uncontrolled, state-sanctioned jihadi immigration when its known effect on western civilization is dangerously corrosive and antithetical. Why do those sanctimonious EU "leaders" and the presidents and prime ministers of sovereign nations insist on putting guns to our own heads? I am a simple American yet I see the same disdain by TPTB for the people here as those unelected EU parliament members have for their own countrymen. Beating plowshares into swords - much like turning a taxpayer into a revolutionary - is a slow and laborious process, but it provides ample time to weigh the facts. It looks like I'm gonna run out of plows long before the facts change.

Why on earth Farage and UKIP aren't in alliance with this lady I just don't know. Her speech could have been made by him.
