Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Birders and Duck Hunters: Identify This Duck

I took this picture of a duck a few days ago. I have been told it is pretty good as wildlife pictures go... so I'm sending it to you knowing that many of you are sportsmen and will appreciate her it. Perhaps you would be so kind as to help me identify this healthy babe duck, fellas?

And how could she clean your bathroom, read or write with nails that long? Not to mention the damage to you those nails would cause...Yuk!

Plus, nothing so big could be real--she would be incapable of breastfeeding your kids, so they'd turn out dumb and allergy ridden and in need of psychiatrists.

But I guess you just want a mommy so go for it.
