Only the NSA Can Record Phone Calls

State Department upset that a private conversation was intercepted and recorded. They were shocked this is happening. I was too. Just kidding. Ever heard of the NSA?

What were they concerned about? US involvement in unrest in the Ukraine. Because we don't do that stuff anymore now that Barry is in charge.

As the Olympics is about to begin, I can only imagine this phone call ended with chants of "USA, USA!"

People tend to think "what I'm doing is OK" but not if someone else is doing the exact same thing, because I trust me, but not the someone else. Our government "trusts" NSA recording phone calls, but not Russia or the Ukraine, because they might have dirt on the wrong people...that's really the concern.

I am totally in favor of whatever that NSA is doing to protect me. They say the old faggots in charge of the NSA can listen to every computer exchange in the world. Only thing I wonder about is this, why can't they ever catch the young bloods who rip off our identities every day? Fake credit card charges got you down? Super good program the NSA has. Too bad it doesn't work worth a fuck.

As you point out, it doesn't work.

Therefore, why bother?

Well, they bother because there are some things that do work. Like using information to persecute the people they (whoever they may be at the time) don't like.

They aren't trying to keep us safe. They are trying to subjugate.

Which is precisely why this current kerfuffle is so humorous - they got caught doing what they do, and they don't like it.

for years my office has used, in telephone calls, code phrases for discussing anatomy of a murder strategy or how to use perjured testimony. its really second nature.

I am in favor of the NSA doing whatever is legal in the effort to protect the country. I am opposed to the government breaking the law and I wish prosecutors would actually bring charges and go to trial when it happens.
