Barone: College Bubble Bursts After Decades of Extravagance:

We see in higher education something like what we saw in housing. Government programs aimed at increasing college education and homeownership, particularly among minorities, turn out to hurt many of the intended beneficiaries.

The intentions of the people who created these programs were good. The results -- well, not so much.

He doesn't care what happens to the country; he cares for his standing and idea of decency which is great for him yet allows our country to be ruined by evil sons of bitches that are called "good men" with "good intentions" by holes of an ass.

Barone's generation ruined the greatest country in history.

RUINED it. And he wants to congratulate Ted and Nancy and Harry and Barack for their decency as if that makes Barone decent himself.

The intentions of the people who created these programs were good.

No, they weren’t. Their intentions were to take money from people who were spending it on their own problems, to take a cut for the government “servants,” then to spend the money as they saw fit. Not one single intention there can be described as good.

I do not wish to see those responsible resign. I do not wish to see those responsible retire. I do not wish to see those responsible voted from office. I do not wish to see those responsible prosecuted and imprisoned. I wish to see their heads picked up out of baskets.

This is why Republicans are the stupid party. When they know the thoughts of their ideological opponents, it is always to say how great they are.

Is this unction they are trying to use?

If it is, then ^&% unction.

Knowing your campaign opponent is a "good man" is why Obama is our POTUS and our smart guys, who know everything about everything about every damn county in the country (except how to win elections or predict who will win elections in 2012) tried real hard, so let's call 'em our experts and be stupid with them.

This means accepting Affirmative Action was a good thing with good intentions, as Ted Kennedy surely wrote his immigration bills and his No Child Left Behind bills with, like how Roe v. Wade was decided with them or Pigford or The New Deal or any commie plot to induce our national suicide.

By God, they DID NOT come out and say they want to [insert Ann Coutler quote here about %*^*Y^% libs] so we will, my friend, assume we know their thoughts and they are, indeed, just as patriotic and pure as our first President G. Washingtion was.

Oh, they "perhaps" didn't mean to hurt people, but, well, they did.

Intentions matter little when competence is bad.

But, let us grant their intentions were "good". It doesn't alter the fact that their actions were bad. Their actions have brought ruin to so many. Their actions have brought pain and suffering.

The logical outcome of their actions have been foreseeable for some time, yet they kept sticking to those intentions, no feedback, no critical thinking.

And now, as those who created these programs toddle toward death, let them go with the knowledge, that though their intentions were good, their results were to destroy lives, increase suffering and generally an all around failure. Let this failure rest upon their mind as they shuffle off this mortal coil

I dought their intentions were good. When Patrick Moynihan pointed out that the war on poverty was destroying black families he was called racist and told to shut up. The war on poverty was a great success for the Democrats because it resulted in a permanent welfare class that reliably votes for Democrats who provide the welfare. As LBJ said, this will have the blacks (LBJ used nword) voting Democrat for the next 200 years.
