Dear Barrister:

I too had the best baby sitters in the early years--grandparents. It was war time and mom was working. I was reading from the local newspaper by age 6--didn't understand--but could read the words.
In order to get into kindergarten all the little applicants and their adults met in the large room. All our jackets, mittens, boots were thrown into one big pile in the middle of the room. If we could find our own and put them on you were ready for kindergarten!

NOW HOWEVER, we are dealing with a population base that is much different. These are babies with drug addict mothers with no sense of parenting. They have already out bred us and now they are attempting to take over our system of government by denouncing our cultural and moral ethics. We will have to care for these people as long as they live--best to try to get their babies into a better condition before it is too late to make a difference. IT DOES NOT have to mean that the 'teachers' will be women of no skill baby sitters from the same neighborhood. It COULD be that we DEMAND the teachers in these community schools be college graduates working off their school loans! AND, most importantly I do not believe these should be mandatory, unless your mother has drug or alcohol problems, or problems of abuse, or cannot speak english in those cases these babies should be required to attend the pre-school centers. What could we loose?
