"So here I am, waiting patiently for the vaunted Mitt Romney for President campaign to begin":

Romney needs to learn that, when confronted by a media horde, you don’t have to answer any of their questions. You say what you want to communicate; the media serves your purpose just by showing up. Believe me, should the press corps start to sense that Romney might win this thing, the tone of their questions is going to change in a hurry, as the courtiers begin jockeying for position and currying favor with a new administration. Running from them, in other words, will not cut it — turning and facing them will.

I remember having had this waiting feeling during the Dole and the McCain campaigns. This game requires cojones.

Romney doesn't want to win. The fix is in and there isn't anything anyone can do about it.

It's this simple. If you don't vote for Romney you're voting for Obama.

We can survive four more years of Obama if he wins, or four years of anyone else, for that matter.

The real question is can we survive as a country into the 21st century, with a population so brainwashed and clueless that they would re-elect this fraud of a man for another term.

That could be something we might not survive.

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting an inexperienced man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama Presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their President. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails America. Blaming the Prince of the Fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The Republic can survive a Barack Obama. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their President."

...and that is something Romney does not have!

To the comment that any vote other than for Romney is a vote for Obama; take it up with the RNC. That they continue to put forth, Bob Doles, John McCains and Mitt Romneys as an option is no option at all.

We don't call them Dead Elephant for nothing!

Romney is Obama spelled backwards, or something. There's not all that much difference, really.

We're done, I think. The left has won.

I just wish they, the left, could individually suffer the results of same.

Their blue sky utopia versus the deep dark black death they bring us.

I think the simplest analysis is still the correct one: it's a turn-out election, and the right is infinitely more motivated than the left. I was in Southern Massachusetts (Barney Frank's district, actually) last week, and I saw more Romney signs than Obama (in Massachusetts!). Similarly in my Brooklyn neighborhood, where every car had an Obama sticker last time, I have seen two or three this year. I truly believe that the same lethargy is present in swing states.

The only way we lose this is if we aren't motivated enough to go to the polls.

Mitt waited until the NFL solved the ref's strike. Now the know-nothings can start to focus on the fact that there really is an election in November!

Then he has to first show he doesn't eat children for breakfast. Next, he has to convince the Milquetoasts that its alright to change your mind (and your vote) about Barry. (You shout at those 'ginas and they get all defensive about Barry!)

Ignore the polls, they're now mere propaganda. Focus instead on the ground game: Between the God Squad and the Tea Party, its gonna be a rout!

And finally, you do what all smart Pubbies do: Make your peace with Ralph Reed, to draw out the 6-8 million Evangelicals who stayed home in '08, because McClown gave Ralph the "We're No. One" sign to prove what a man he was! How'd that work out for ya, Johnnie?

The NFL strike is waaaaaaaaaaaay below Mitt's pay grade. Also, not in his job description. Nor any US President's.
