We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

The IRS and Obamacare

Happy Dependence Day!  Between the government-sponsored electronic medical records and the Obamacare-IRS alliance, big brother is going to know everything about you and your family. For the Greater Good, natch.


It's a wonder that a single American likes this idea. Perhaps there is a large portion of Americans who like to be forced to do things. I just don't get it.

Remember when the Clintons stole the FBI files of thousands of prominent Republicans. The repercussions today can only be imagined.
Now, imagine what could happen if millions of electronic medical records were stolen today (though perhaps this has already occurred).
Imagine the blackmail.
Imagine worse.

Perhaps a bunch of those Americans think it's going to be "free." For some people, the price of Liberty is pretty cheap these days.

Did you see the video that was going around a few days ago of the crowd out protesting Karl Rove? None of them knew who Karl Rove was, or why they were protesting, and it was a fair-sized bunch of people. I didn't catch if they were being paid to protest. Perhaps because Obama worked as a community organizer with Acorn demonstrates why he has such a low opinion of American citizens.

Does anyone remember Obama saying medical records were going to be outsourced to India when he first came in office and touted deathcare? Can just imagine the mess they will be in just by trying to deal with some of the tech support techs.

Becuase it's not you and me. The Americans who like dependency, as far as I can see, are:
1. The young, who have been propogandized in school since kindergarten with leftist drivel.
2. The Hispanic immigrants who are imported into this country to vote Democratic.
3. The blacks, who have been made into a wholly dependent sub-culture by the left.
4. The employees of the government, academia, and non-profits who know where their bread is buttered. Most of the hard-core leftists I know fall into this category.
5. The chronically lazy, who love getting disability for bad backs, etc.

Whose left out of this list? the hard-working Americans who have to pay for it all. And with every passing day, there are fewer of us. Just last week, a friend of mine who has his own business employing 25 people told me he will shut down if Obama wins in November.

You forgot the most significant party: Major corporations.
They don't like competition and contribute heavily to politicians intent on rigging the American system.
And if you believe Government assurances that your medical records won't be used against you, recall that the Government once promised that our social security numbers would never be used as national ID numbers.
