What if the Constitution No Longer Applied?

A piece by Napolitano. He begins:

What if the whole purpose of the Constitution was to limit the government? What if Congress’s enumerated powers in the Constitution no longer limited Congress, but were actually used as justification to extend Congress’s authority over every realm of human life? What if the president, meant to be an equal to Congress, has become a democratically elected, term-limited monarch? What if the president assumed everything he did was legal just because he’s the president? What if he could interrupt your regularly scheduled radio and TV programming for a special message from him? What if he could declare war on his own? What if he could read your emails and texts without a search warrant? What if he could kill you without warning?

The only way out of this mess is to repeal the entire Constitution and to revert to the Articles of Confederation.

Since I can find no way to comment to the webmaster, I'll try this.
What have you done to your site that causes my browser to lock up when I try to navigate away? I have 3 different computers that react this way to your site (and only your site). I've waited 2-3 weeks expecting you to correct it but I find that I so dread the lock up that I just don't visit your site anymore. It's kind of a shame, I'm an long time fan of Bob and you. Goodbye.

Not that particular problem, but a different one has appeared the last couple of weeks(I think). The site is slow to load-about 30 seconds to a minute- and the same when I click to read comments and click back to the main page-always a delay.

yup. Just what the man said. My son the whiz kid knows roughly what it is, and refuses to open the site on his machine. Of course, he is slightly nuttily purist on minimalist code. I'll interview him this morning and report back.

I hadn't entered my mind to navigate away from your site. But to test, I did. Successfully. Returned quickly so now I feel safe again.

What if the government enforced a hiring quota system favoring one group over another?

What if you had the right to bear arms, but only if you first acquired the correct permission and paid appropriate taxes?

What if the government could simply confiscate your property without indemnification?

What if the government forced your business to collect taxes without compensation?

What if the government issued an edict preventing you from using your land as you saw fit, again with no compensation?

Who else can carry on the list?

Please don't have your robocaller call my cell phone. I just got a call that, after a long wait, started with, what if the whole purpose of the constitution was to limit the government?" That was the purpose of it.

With that siad they are still using it to spend trillions of dollars in Iraq. We need to stop spending money to protect oil company interests Iraq.

I've been getting the same dumbass robocall over and over with this stupid message "Does the Government work for us or do we work for the government? What if the Constitution no longer applied?.....etc" from an 832 (Houston) area code. No one is buying this crap. Please stop wasting your time.
