We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
As a rich* attorney, you've lead an extraordinary American life.
Consider the world, and you've lead a strangely blessed life that makes one believe in the divine.
Where you're deficient, as am I and all save the big J.C. and men like Churchill and women like Mother Teresa, is in implementing the playbook WFB gave us.
*I've decided I will classify someone as "rich" if they are in the top ten percent of the single most wealth-enhanced society in existence based on that year's income, allowing for the wealthy that protect riches and not earn them yearly anymore.

"The Brits" are indeed grateful for the wartime contribution of
Dr Davenport and so many other Americans. It should be pointed out though that "The Brits" had already turned the tide of WW2 at the battles of El Alamein in 1942. Davenport's first operational unit was delivered in May 1943, various bureaucratic problems led to it being delayed in being delivered to the front-line troops. The SCR-584 was first used in combat at Anzio in February 1944.
Another late American as we "Brits" say.
