Maggie's Farm

We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.

Feminism Wars

Good feminism war fun, at The Other McCain. The war between the sexes genders will never end, will it? It's as old as mankind humankind itself.


We're just differently constructed, brains and bodies. Everybody knows that. Still, we need eachother.

'Ol Stacy pretty much has the right side of it, but the distaff contingent is never going to admit it.

They can wish to be "equal" to men all they want to, but when push comes to shove, who are they going to hide behind?

Sorry, ladies. I love y'all to death, but when it comes down to kicking tail and taking names, I'd really rather have other guys out there with me, even if we're old geezers.

You females can have it one way or the other. We men can be nice to you and protect you, or we can let you fend for yourselves. And you won't like it if we let you fend for yourselves.

Of course, most of us "real" men won't do that. You are having our children, and we are obligated by our morals and customs to protect you because of that, as long as we know that you are having our kid(s).

If you want to play economic roulette, go for it, but don't file a child-support lawsuit. You are asking to have it both ways, and that won't fly for long.
