We are a commune of inquiring, skeptical, politically centrist, capitalist, anglophile, traditionalist New England Yankee humans, humanoids, and animals with many interests beyond and above politics. Each of us has had a high-school education (or GED), but all had ADD so didn't pay attention very well, especially the dogs. Each one of us does "try my best to be just like I am," and none of us enjoys working for others, including for Maggie, from whom we receive neither a nickel nor a dime. Freedom from nags, cranks, government, do-gooders, control-freaks and idiots is all that we ask for.
I really like this guy, and not just because he's good looking. He has such a calm, centered approach to communicating, a steady, slightly friendly but wary gaze. Trust but verify. On top of that, he's doing what he promised his constituents he'd do -- advocating sensible solutions for the Congress to pass for them. Now if he can just avoid the traps of the Washington power groupies, he'll be O.K. I think his wife had best join him in Washington pretty quick, though, because he's quite a dish. And the pirhanas are already assembling. [I know I didn't spell that right. Oh well.]
Drudge today (Sunday) says Pelosi has votes.....Tea Party ought to be having a one day mass march, sit in on Tuesday, last chance. On Washington, on Capitol Hill, and on all congressional offices in all Democrat districts across the country.
Time to show some muscle in the streets again, it's the only thing these bastard Dimocrats understand....what's the fallback? U.S. District Court injunction? Then Appellate? Or, just go to SCOTUS on an emergency basis?
This thing must be strangled in it's crib if it can't be aborted in the Congressional womb. At last, a morally sound use for abortion and/or infanticide.
